Fletcher McCusker is the CEO of Sinfonía HealthCare Corporation. Previously, he was the founder, Chief Executive Officer and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Providence Service Corporation, from 2013 since its founding in 1996,. However, his commitment to improving access to healthcare came much earlier. After graduating from the University of Arizona in 1974 with a degree in rehabilitation and earning his master’s degree at Arizona State University, McCusker co-founded a mental health care company in 1983. He subsequently served as Chief Executive Officer for Introspect Healthcare Corporation from 1992-1995 and as Executive Vice President of Youth Services International from 1995-1996. In 2009 he moved the Providence headquarters to downtown Tucson and he currently serves on the boards of both TREO and the Downtown Tucson Partnership. He is an active supporter of University of Arizona’s School of Government and Public Policy, with the aim of creating opportunities for students with interest in law, public policy, government politics, foreign service, nonprofit management and health care services. McCusker was the first person to make a significant financial commitment to the National Institute for Civil Discourse by pledging $1 million for operating costs, and providing stunning office space in downtown Tucson, next to Providence Service Corporation. He also serves as a key member of the Institute’s Working Board.
